Consider The Lilies

I love to browse the pictures from gettyimages.com on a daily basis. There is always something that catches my eye. This is the image for today, as well as the verse that the Lord put in my heart to go along with it:

"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith!"
Luke 12:27-28

Something For Everyone

This, my friends, is a show and tell posting. As you are all fully aware, I like to make stuff for the three C's. Well, here we go:

I found this cutey-patootey swing purse at the dollar spot in Target. Added Cait's name and VOILA! :)

The front of Christian's new train-carrying bag
The back side of the train-carrying bag
The front of Caroline's new bubble romper (btw-I combined patterns to make it, so it's a one-of-a-kind!)

And now the back of the bubble romper...

So there you have it--something special for everyone! Also, I am including pics of Caitlin's new haircut, because she wanted to show all of her grandmas! :)

A Very Busy Sunday

Normally Sundays around the Haskell household are dull and boring. However, yesterday was an exception. Nate came over and totally helped us revamp our flowerbeds in the front yard. It is SO NICE to have someone around who knows what they are doing with plants and such. It looks so good! We have all colors of flowers as well as a nice bird bath. Can't wait for them to all bloom out. We pretty much spent the entire day outside, and it was a blast--so thanks Uncle Nate!!
Also, Mom and Dad got back from their vacation. They brought us all kinds of fun souvenirs like chocolate bars from Mt. Rushmore, shirts from Yellowstone, a book for the kids called "Who Pooped in the Park," and even a really cool Moose Tunes DVD....it's a hit with Christian for sure! Christian was so funny with his stuff--he got a t-shirt that says "I'm A Bear" as well as some socks with bears on them. Needless to say, I may have to pry them off of him to wash them. :D He was up at 7am, fully dressed in this shirt and socks, and was ready for the day.

Side Note: Why the heck do kids decide to get up EARLY during the summer when you have to threaten them within an inch of their lives to get up at all during school time?

So thanks to Mom and Dad for the fun stuff! We are glad you had a good time...and Mom, I LOVE your new wedding ring!

Also, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Haskell for the fun stuff you sent to us! Caitlin got a necklace with a moose on it and her name inside the moose, Christian got a cool indian-decorated horse, Caroline got some fun whale tub toys, Momma got a necklace with a cat charm (to remind me of Bo), and Daddy got a funny talking horse keychain. We hope you two are having an easy time of transition in Colorado--we miss you already! :)

Projects, Round 2

Ok, so I stayed up from my nap yesterday to work on this, and got finished last night. This would be another pillowcase dress (yes, I know, I'm addicted!) and matching soft sole shoes. Love this fabric!! Makes me HAPPY! lol
Anywho, how cheesy is Caroline here?!? She and her siblings just don't get enough photos taken of them (rolls eyes and laughs). :)

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to Shane and Kathy (i.e. Dad & Mom, Pappaw & Mimi)!! Hope you two have a great day and a wonderful rest of your trip! We miss you much (and no, Caroline is NOT walking or talking yet...just crawling and babbling). :-)
Let me also say Happy Anniversary to Jill's parents, Joe & Debbie! May you also be blessed today!
