A Very Cool Field Trip

As I type this, Caitlin is on her way to the town of Groom, Texas. Both of the 3rd grade classes are going on a field trip to see the 190 ft. tall cross and neat statues there. Here is a website that explains it all and shows pics of what she's going to get to see: GROOM CROSS
The teachers thought it would help the kids get a better understanding of what Easter is all about. Whatever the reason for going, I think it's a great thing! She had NO idea where they were going. It has been kept secret for 3 weeks now. This morning, she was about to burst from excitement! :) After viewing the cross and statues, they will get treated to lunch at the Big Texan. Man, I hope she doesn't try to eat the 72oz. steak! Haha
