We have kept no secrets regarding our spiritual beliefs, and if yours differ from ours then that's perfectly fine. After all, we are not here to pass judgement and ask for the same respect in return.
These are definitely interesting times. Without going into unimportant details, let's just say our body of believers (church) has begun a new journey. The congregation may look a bit different tomorrow morning, but I believe the Spirit will flow freely--which is really all that matters to me and John.
I found a new love for violin playing when I began to use that talent for God's glory at our church. It's fullfilling and humbling all at once, and I love it! I have played with the worship team for over a year now, and I wholeheartedly enjoy it.
More than words can say, actually.
That being said, I am not sure how it's all going to work out now, but that's not for me to worry about. I will forever use my violin to worship--it doesn't matter how/when/where. It's not about a building, people, or earthly things anyway.
All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord...
Change to our body of believers was apparently inevitable, but not all together horrible. Yes, this path will look different. Yes, there will be some bumps along the way. I still believe, however, that peace will abound.
Peace Be Still...
As for the new path--John and I can't wait to see what lies ahead. Every time I look at the heading now, I will be encouraged. God loves us far more than we could ever imagine, and that makes the journey that much more exciting.
Just take it one step at a time...

I could have written your post exactly it feels. Even though there are clearly some things that are different. (I don't play anything HA!!) I do respect the differences of beliefs and where they take us all on the path leading to Christ. That is the most important thing. After the bumps smooth out and the emotions are calmed I am confident the path will seem more similar to many people than first believed. God takes people in many different directions and worship takes on all forms as well. Being respectful of what God chooses to do with each other is key.
We respect your decisions just like I know you respect ours. Right now they may seem so totally different but are really similar. Just look different on the outside. Our souls are tied to the SAME LORD and that is a comforting feeling. Worship will look different tomorrow for many reasons but together we will be praising our glorious Father.
It is key to not let resentment and harsh words settle in our spirit. That is of man. I know I have really had to take a few steps back and get over the initial shock of decisions that man made and realize that great things are being done among the body. Different directions aren't always bad. Hard of course but not bad. Different things can now be accomplished with different sets of ideas, plans, visions. That is exciting no matter where you are.
God has great things in store for PCF. I believe it. I believe there is a great group of people to continue the work of the Lord and this will give them an opportunity to really step up and carry out those plans. To carry out the vision of the Lord.
In turn there is a new body who will be blessed by the Father for their efforts to accomplish these same plans.
We love you guys so much and although we are on different sides of the path we travel in the same direction.
You are so talented in so many ways! Using your violin to make music for the Lord is an amazing talent. I do agree that change is not all together horrible and that a path that looks different is not necessarily a bad thing! Though Steve and I have struggled this week, we have found a inner peace and love that only God can provide. We have also realized that everything happens for a reason and God is challenging our family to have a strong faith and trust in Him. We are very excited to embark on this new adventure he has presented before us and welcome it with open arms!!
We love you guys and will miss our Sunday morning visits. We will continue to pray for your family and know that God has great things in store for you guys!
