A Very Busy Sunday

Normally Sundays around the Haskell household are dull and boring. However, yesterday was an exception. Nate came over and totally helped us revamp our flowerbeds in the front yard. It is SO NICE to have someone around who knows what they are doing with plants and such. It looks so good! We have all colors of flowers as well as a nice bird bath. Can't wait for them to all bloom out. We pretty much spent the entire day outside, and it was a blast--so thanks Uncle Nate!!
Also, Mom and Dad got back from their vacation. They brought us all kinds of fun souvenirs like chocolate bars from Mt. Rushmore, shirts from Yellowstone, a book for the kids called "Who Pooped in the Park," and even a really cool Moose Tunes DVD....it's a hit with Christian for sure! Christian was so funny with his stuff--he got a t-shirt that says "I'm A Bear" as well as some socks with bears on them. Needless to say, I may have to pry them off of him to wash them. :D He was up at 7am, fully dressed in this shirt and socks, and was ready for the day.

Side Note: Why the heck do kids decide to get up EARLY during the summer when you have to threaten them within an inch of their lives to get up at all during school time?

So thanks to Mom and Dad for the fun stuff! We are glad you had a good time...and Mom, I LOVE your new wedding ring!

Also, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Haskell for the fun stuff you sent to us! Caitlin got a necklace with a moose on it and her name inside the moose, Christian got a cool indian-decorated horse, Caroline got some fun whale tub toys, Momma got a necklace with a cat charm (to remind me of Bo), and Daddy got a funny talking horse keychain. We hope you two are having an easy time of transition in Colorado--we miss you already! :)

How very nice to have a gardener in the family. That is very nice. Can't wait to see it.
