Brains, Braun, and Betty Crocker

I really do have an awesome hubby--and to top it all off, he is such a great cook! I really wish some of that cooking genius would rub off on me. After all, my grandma, mom, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law are all amazing cooks. How is it that I'm surrounded by them but still seem to burn, overcook, mess up, and over season everything? :) Honestly, how does one mess up a store-bought boxed cake mix?!? Leave it to me to answer that question (that's why I'm so excited about the new recipe blog--I expect to catch up to him in no time). Anyway, here is what my kitchen looked like today, and I loved every minute of it. We had a whole day of cooking, hanging out, and watching movies. All in all, it was the best day we've had in a long time.
