Caitlin was waiting for her ride to school this morning when she spotted one of "them" out in our yard. That's right---the ginormous jack rabbits are back. They invade our lawn every year, eat all of my beautiful flowers, and drive John nuts. They get to be as big as small dogs and come in groups of 10 or more to feed on our grass. Back when I first started blogging, John was on a kick of rabbit hunting every evening. In fact, some of the most fun we had when I was very large and pregnant with Caroline was rabbit hunting. I would sit down on the tile entryway and prop the glass front door open with my feet just enough for John to stick the barrel of his bb gun out and take a shot. That's right, my hubby is a mighty rabbit hunter. lol Last year I felt sorry for the rabbits since they didn't have a lot of food out in the pasture due to the drought conditions. Let me tell you, I have NO SYMPATHY this year. It's very green out there--I think they are just being rude! :)
