Yesterday was just like any other Friday. We usually start out by running errands, grab lunch somewhere, and then we head home for naps. I have been trying to save up all of my running around for one day a week, so theoretically I burn less gas. I had saved up about 5 "to do's" for yesterday, so we all piled in the car and took off. Christian started with his usual line of questions--"Mom, where are we going first? Then where next? Are we getting lunch? Are we going to go get Sissy? Are we going to the gym?" On and on....
I explained the plan of action. We would run some errands, grab lunch at Chick-Fil-A, and then head to the park before naps. That seemed to pacify the boy, so all was good. All went well, but I could tell something was bothering Christian as we were getting into the car after shopping at Wal-Mart. He had "the look"--you know, the one of deep pondering. He quietly said, "Momma, when are we gonna stop running around for earrings and get lunch at Chick-Fil-A so we can go to the park?" LOL Somehow "running errands" turned into "running around for earrings!" If only my day was filled with earring searches----alas, a momma can dream! :)
