Makes You Think

For the 1st time in several months, I decided to skip the heart healthy oatmeal and opted instead for the yummy kids' cereal. John went grocery shopping while I was gone the other night, and apparently the 3 C's talked him in to some sugary-teeth-rotting squares of goodness in a bag.
Whatever.
So I poured myself a big bowl--topped it off with whole milk (not the tasteless 1% milk that my darling husband bought a gallon of, thinking he'd change me) and sat in my chair.
I thought to myself, "MAN! That is some wonderful cereal! Wonder what it is called? Don't think we've ever had it before..."
I wandered back into the kitchen, fetched the bag from the top shelf, and read the name.

I wasn't terribly impressed. After all, I think the cereal company should be reprimanded for naming a cereal something that might give the adults in the house the feeling of guilt for having some.

The cereal's name is: Muffin Tops

Seriously?

Thanks alot, Cereal Company, for giving me a complex at 8am.

Still tastes good though. And that's all that matters.

FYI:
From Webster's Dictionary:

Main Entry: muffin top
Part of Speech: n
Definition: flesh that falls over the waistband of a garment
Example: muffin tops hanging over tight jeans
Etymology: 2003; for its resemblance to the food

Oh that's great! "I have a muffin top"...sounds like a pick up line at a sleezy bar" Which reminds me...did I ever tell you about the time back in my "miss-spent youth" days when I was at a bar and this hefty chick walked by me...and her pants were so tight...it was bad. I looked at my friend that was with me and I said "I bet when she unbuttons thoses jeans it looks like a can on biscuits opening up". I know not nice...I should feel bad but the chick heard me...and wll...let's just say it wasn't pretty. I am not sure why I am putting this out there publicly now. I was 21 or 22...which was hoy cow...15 years ago. Ugh...I was so dumb. Anyway muffin tops...cans of biscuits...I just thought they all tied in together! Now I am going to have to go and buy me some muffin tops. You may want to delete this after you read it...your other friends are going to think you are totally weird having a bizarre friend like me. hee...hee...

Due to my own muffin top I didn't go to the gym today. It was a chubby day and my bpys needed thier mommy to stay in her jammies to match them. How many excuses can I come up with? Oh and I just didn't feel like it. :)
