Playin' The Tag Game

My sweet friend Amy B tagged me, so now it's my turn to give you some very strange but fun facts about me! Here are the rules:

1. I can stick my fist in my mouth. Not just to the nuckles--oh no. It goes all the way past that. The only problem with performing this glorious trick is that it tends to tear the corners of my mouth and I deal with sores for at least 6 months afterward. Totally not worth it, I know.

2. I have a huge dislike for possums. More like a HATE. The strange thing is, they seem to find me wherever I live. I'm convinced that they are aware of my strong dislike, so they rally the troops to give me at least 1 good freakout every year. Case in point: when we lived at our house on Anna Street (about 2 years ago), my then dog Toula was barking like crazy at 2am in the back yard. After not being able to get her to shut up, John went out there to see what was going on. Come to find out, she had treed a possum. That's right--just outside the master bedroom window. I guarantee you it was trying to carry out it's mission on me. There have been incidents already since I've lived in this house, but this post isn't supposed to take forever to read....

3. I have had several majors in college: Dental Hygienist, Respiratory Therapist, Nuclear Medicine...none of which have I completed. Still trying to figure out what it is God wants me to be "when I grow up."

4. I totally dig Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. Ahhhhh, if only popular music sounded like that today!

5. I haven't worn a dress in at least a year. It's not that I don't like dresses, it's just that I have yet to find one that's completely flattering. The usual problems are my chest falling out, too much leg showing, makes my legs look squatty, shows too much arm, or squeezes my arms to pieces. Maybe someday the right dress will come along--and when it does, I'll be sure to sport it.

6. I had lasik eye surgery done about 6 years ago. It was the most amazing procedure ever---except it gave me horrible halo vision. I sometimes refuse to drive at night, simply because headlights of oncoming traffic are blurry, I can't read lit signs, and city lights are semi-nightmarish.

7. I would give anything to have a small yip-yip dog (as John so lovingly calls them) to follow me around. It would have to be a girl dog though. I'd name her Beatrice, dress her up, and carry her around in a dog purse. I might even spring for the dog stroller in pink.

Well folks, there you have it! Thanks for bearing with me on that one. I know I'm a strange cookie, but I've come to accept that and love myself. :)
