Oops I Did It Again

Ok, really no "oops"--I was trying to be cute using play on words. :)
I ran my third 5K race today, and MAN was it ever cold outside! My time has definitely improved, and it's different running on a treadmill in a nice warm gym. Those paved roads with hills are a killer! This is the 1st one that John hasn't been able to run with me. I was so sad to do it by myself. Oh, and my ipod decided to freak out on me 15 minutes before the race started. It would NOT play a song to save its life., and it kept shutting off. I think I missed a recent update or something--arggg!!! So, to top off the fact that I was minus my race partner, I was also minus the running music.
My solution?
Run next to a woman about my same size, who seemed to have the same pace as me---and listen to her music that was turned up so loud in her earphones that I'm sure she's deaf by now. Even though I couldn't hear the words of her songs, they had a good running beat. :)
I know--I'm a sad, sad case. Ha!
I finished in 28 minutes and 18 seconds...the fastest time yet. I was SO glad to get it over with and be able to come home to a nice cup of coffee and 3 darling angel babies who have done nothing but play together sweetly....
Ok, that last part is an outright lie. They are currently all screaming at each other over some fake computer that they all want to play with.
