Here are some lessons learned in the past 5 days:
1. Don't put the baby's high chair anywhere in the vicinity of a house plant, even if you think she can't reach it---because she can! Also, freaking out won't make the Poison Control Center lady be any nicer or talk any faster (it wasn't poisonous by the way, just in case you wondered).
2. Feeding a baby raisins isn't always a great idea, even if they beg and plead for them. Sadly, they come out the other end whole and twice the size, resembling regular grapes. If you feed a baby a box of raisins, be prepared to pick them out of the crib, bedding, and jammies the next morning when the diaper explodes.
3. Babies LOVE toilets and dog bowls. The most brilliant invention was the hand sanitizer pump. We should have bought stock in them.
4. No matter how hard you try or how much you hover, you can't prevent every bump or bruise. A baby is going to explore (especially an 11 month old) and the fireplace is always enticing. You know how your mom used to tell you stuff can happen in the blink of an eye? She was right. See picture below for proof.

Oh my gosh I'm printing those off and putting them in my book of things to remember. You crack me up! Hope Caroline's head gets better. Doesn't seem to have effected her ability to ham it up for the camera!
