I have been smelling the most delicious smell this evening as I have been getting the kids ready for bed. John pulled a bunch of his deer meat out of the deep freeze, and he has been grilling--yes, in the dark. There are bacon-wrapped pieces and regular chunks that have been marinating in the fridge all day long. I swear, that is the best meat you will EVER taste. Yes, I just had to sample them. :) He originally wanted to cook all of this batch up and have it to take as lunch or dinner all week, but somehow it's disappearing at an alarming rate from the cooling pan. I plead the 5th on this one. Also, this was an opportunity to play with my new camera in the dark!

I hope some of that is earmarked to my house!
Okay, I don't doubt John's tremendous grilling ability, and I have to admit that as I read your blog my mouth watered up until the point I read deer meet! Can't do wild game!! Great shot of John and his grill though! :0) Have a great week! Teresa
So, we need to have the great cook off with the deer meat! We just got Ty's meat back and they are all just chopping at the bit to get busy eating it all up. ;) I am not really a fan, but will eat it every once in awhile. Hope ya'll have a wonderful week!!!!
