Let's Play Catch Up

This week has been interesting and busy around here.
John started his teaching job at AC on Tuesday, and he really likes it! The only thing is that he has to go straight from Pantex to the college campus, so there's no time to come home and chill with us. I guess that's okay though. He will be doing this same routine every Tuesday and Thursday from now through April.
Caitlin played her 1st Kids Inc. basketball game today. Her team is made up of brand new players, so there's not much experience to draw from. Unfortunately, the opposing team was not this way. I think the score was something like 36 to 10--and we were the lower of those numbers. :( I think it's a rude awakening for Cait, being as she's been used to volleyball where you stand in one place and do one thing. That running up and down the court is for the birds! I hope the rest of the season goes a bit smoother and she ends up having fun.
Christian continues to be his silly self. For instance, he requested cheese crackers for his snack this evening, and I tried to get him to have something else. After much debate, Momma gave in. As I was handing him the crackers he said, "Come on now, Mom...'cheese' Louise (instead of geez Louise, a saying I have for when I am annoyed)." He promptly laughed at his own joke. Oy!
Caroline is just--well--getting so big. She says so many things now. Her newest words are diaper, wipee, dog, no-no, mine (yes, she's got this one down pat), and ouchy (for when she's got a dirty diaper). Her hair is definitely growing, and I am convinced it's long enough for little rubber bands and bows. She pulls them out every chance she gets, and John thinks they look rediculous anyway. Oh well.
As for me, I finally recovered from a nasty stomach bug. It was very unpleasant I'm here to tell you. I was able to get back to the gym today, so that really helped. Thanks to Mom for coming over and wrangling the 2 smaller kids while I got some much needed rest!
There you have it...a complete rundown. I keep hoping life will slow down just a little so I can catch up, but I'm sure that's not happening anytime soon!
