Yesterday, John and Caitlin were both off, so it was a day of relaxation. It's nice to have that once in a while, especially after I have spent the past month sewing my fingers to the bone. :) Yesterday was also Misty's daughter Jacey's 3rd birthday. She had a party at the school park by their house, and it was a blast! Jacey wore a black leotard, big fluffy pink tutu, and cute pink camo bows with pigtails. She is such a "miss thing", and she KNOWS she is a princess! Her cake was so cute--and decorated by her I might add. It was a pink butterfly with multi-color skittles and gumdrops all over it. YUM! I hope she had a fun time because our kids certainly did!
After the party, John dropped me off at Abuelo's to meet with my sweet friend from high school, Lindsay Welch. We were in the same class and John and her husband Jeremy were in the same class. Also, they had a daughter 6 weeks after we had Caitlin; her name is Rebekah. What's even more fun is they had a daughter 6 weeks after we had Christian, and her name is Savannah. Jeremy is in the Army, so they are in the process of moving to California. Lindsay came through just for a short visit, and it was wonderful to see her again. I hadn't seen her in 10 years! Here's a pic of us at the restaurant. Hopefully next time she comes through town she can come over and stay for a while.

I hate that I missed it!! I wanted to see Lindsey so bad. It just so happened that this has been the busiest week I have had all semester. Hopefully I will have some time tonight to blog about it.
PS Love the blanket. I made need one in adult size!!
We had a great time this weekend didn't we? Now to do it again in a few weeks! Jacey was so glad that y'all could make it to her party.
