This is a wonderful new electric violin that I was so blessed to get. I can't wait to try it out on Sunday morning--it has a very rich sound and reminds me a lot of my accoustic (regular) violin. I named her Eleanor. Yes, I know...I'm weird! :) Some people name their cars--I just name my violins. lolNow for the creativity part....
The gig case that the violin came in didn't come with a place to hold my bow, so I made my own bow case. I made it for about 1/2 the price of a real bow case (I would have to order one and it could take 2 weeks to get it, so that wasn't really an option). I made it out of a mailing tube, orange velour material, batting, black spray paint, and ribbon. I think it works wonderfully!
